HOW CAN PSYCHOTHERAPY/COUNSELLING HELP?
The aim of psychodynamic psychotherapy/counselling is to help clients bring about positive change in their lives, by enabling them to be more aware of their underlying -often unconscious- thoughts and feelings. This is a gradual process in which the psychotherapist follows the client’s lead, listening attentively and non-judgementally to what they bring to the session.
ISSUES I CAN HELP WITH
Clients are not always able to identify why they are feeling unhappy. Sometimes people just know that they feel stuck, or that they have lost any feeling of joy in life. However some of the problems that people bring to therapy include:
LOCATION.
My practice in Godalming is based at The Eaves in at Catteshall Mill, not far from the centre of town.
The Eaves has been designed especially for psychological therapies, with an airy waiting area and peaceful and private consulting rooms.
BY CAR: There is free parking on Catteshall Road. If this is full then there is pay and display parking a 5 minute walk away at Wey Court, just off the A3100.
BY BUS: A number of buses from Guildford, Woking and Farnham stop at Meadrow at the top of Catteshall Road, a few minutes walk from the Eaves.
BY TRAIN: Godalming train station is a 25 minute walk, however taxis are also available. Farncombe station is a 14 minute walk.
