About me

I am an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist and have extensive and specialised trainings in working with couples and individuals.  I feel that my different trainings broaden my approach as do the range of settings in mental health that I have worked in over the past 10 years. These include working in the NHS as part of a team seeing complex cases (both individual and couples) and working privately with patients referred by their GP for short-term work. I am qualified to see psychotherapists, counsellors and clinical psychologists in training.

Alongside my private practices in London and Godalming I worked for several years at Tavistock Relationships (TR) in their Parenting Service.  I contributed a chapter to a TR book 'Couples as Parents' (2024, Routledge).

While my main approach is psychodynamic I am mindful of what will be most helpful for you at any point in the therapy. I have undertaken extensive reading and attended seminars and workshops on working with trauma, bereavement, personality disorders and neurodiversity including ADHD and Autism. At times I will draw on elements of trauma-informed therapy, attachment based therapy, mentalisation based therapy and counselling approaches with neurodiverse clients.

I hold a BA Hons and an MSc in the Humanities.  My background before training as a psychotherapist was as a journalist and producer specialising in international affairs.
