I am an experienced psychodynamic psychotherapist and have extensive and specialised trainings in working with couples and individuals. I feel that my different trainings broaden my approach as do the range of settings in mental health that I have worked in over the past 10 years. These include working in the NHS as part of a team seeing complex cases (both individual and couples) and working privately with patients referred by their GP for short-term work. I am qualified to see psychotherapists, counsellors and clinical psychologists in training.
Alongside my private practices in London and Godalming I worked for several years at Tavistock Relationships (TR) in their Parenting Service. I contributed a chapter to a TR book 'Couples as Parents' (2024, Routledge). I keep up to date on developments in psychotherapy and while the basis of my approach is psychodynamic I am always mindful of what will be most helpful for the individual client or couple at any given time.
I hold a BA Hons and an MSc in the Humanities. My background before training as a psychotherapist was as a journalist and producer specialising in international affairs.
